Morgan adds two more to Lilywhites including Kevan

Alex Kevan during his short spell as Llangefni ManagerWelshpool Town Manager Tommi Morgan has now made it three summer signings in the close season with the addition to two new players today.

Following the arrival last week of former Liverpool Reserve team skipper and ex-Llangefni Town man, John Boardman, there were two more new arrivals at Tuesday evening's training session, which had over 30 players in attendance.

Morgan has added the vastly experienced Alex Kevan to his midfield ranks, which softens the blow of losing Wales Semi Pro International Chris Venables, who joined Aberystwyth Town last week. Kevan, who has suffered bad injuries in his career, is still only 27 years old and he became the League's youngest Manager when he joined Llangefni as a Player/Boss in December 2007. He didn't play for 'Gefni before his swift departure from Talwrn Road, but he has also spent time with Rhyl, and has had experience at Burnley, Hereford, Lancaster City, Droylsden and Colwyn Bay.

Last season a groin injury kept him on the sidelines, but he is back in training and Morgan will be hoping that he can make a difference when fully fit.

Also joining the club is the highly rated Craig Wilkinson, who returns to the squad for a second spell. Wilkinson was a firm favourite with the Maesydre crowd before a serious knee injury. He spent last season re-gaining his fitness with Llandyrnog in the Cymru Alliance League and is relishing the prospect of a return to the Principality Welsh Premier League.

Also putting pen to paper on Tuesday were ten of last season's squad, with 'keeper Danny Jones joining Ross Stevens, Geraint Windsor, John Keegan, Will Thomas, Steve Rogers, George Hughes, Max Powell, Richard Harris and Calvin Davies at Maesydre again next year. The highly-rated full-back Kyle Jacobs is also set to sign, when he returns from holiday. The ex-Macclesfield man has played for Bangor City and Porthmadog in the League and arrived at Maesydre in January 2008.

Morgan is still looking to add at least three quality players to his squad before the start of the season on August 15th.
