Two More Canaries fly to Nomads
Steve O'Shaughnessy has raided former club Caernarfon Town again this week, with the additions of Keiron Quinn and Craig Vernon to the Nomads squad.
Quinn is a talented centre midfielder, who was released by Wrexham just three years ago and he immediately signed for Caernarfon in the August of 2005. The Liverpudlian spent three years as a trainee at the Racecourse, without ever breaking into the first team. He was Voted Players Player of the season in 2006/07 at the Oval and made a total of 28 (+1) appearances last year, scoring one goal.
Craig Vernon is a teenage goalkeeper, who is also from the Liverpool area and was formerly with Chester City Youth and Bootle. He played a total of six games for Caernarfon last year after making his debut against Porthmadog in the Loosemores Cup on 4th September in a 2-2 draw.
The two former Canaries will be familiar with defenders Lee Bamber and Phillip Clarke who both joined the Nomads last week from Caernarfon.
Another new arrival in the first-team set-up is Danny Pinch, who is the younger brother of the instrumental defender Gary. He is rated as an outstanding prospect for the future at the club.
On the coaching side, it has been announced that former Rhyl coach Lee Coathup will not be joining the club as O'Shaughnessy's assistant. Instead, former Newtown Manager, Roger Preece will be the Number Two at the club and he joins Director of Football, Levi Lloyd from the old Cymru Alliance side, GAP Queens Park.
