Tommi steps up the Hunt for New Recruits

Neil Mitchell signed for Newtown, which was disappointing for Tommi MorganWelshpool Town Manager Tommi Morgan has stepped up the hunt for new faces and is set to reveal some new recruits this week.

The manager has had a hectic weekend talking to players in attempt to attract them to Maesydre, whilst at the same time, working towards his Pro-Licence at the FAW Course in Cardiff.

"The phone has been a bit hot," said Morgan to the club's Website.

"I know people are getting a bit anxious with players leaving the club but there are several signatures on the horizon...I had been interested in signing Neil Mitchell from Caersws and it was disappointing to hear from him that he had signed for Newtown.

"But I am talking to a very experienced Welsh Premier League striker who will hopefully sign this week," he added.

Negotiations are at advanced stages for several other new recruits, which will cheer up the Lilywhites fans, who lost the services of midfielder Chris Venables, defender Paul Dowridge and striker Aden Shannon last week.
