Reds sign Eagle Morris as cover for Roberts

Llanelli have signed goalkeeper Craig Morris from Neath AthleticLlanelli have signed goalkeeper Craig Morris from Neath Athletic, who will pressurise Duncan Roberts for the Number One shirt at Stebonheath this term.

Nicknamed, 'Hovis', Morris is a Llanelli lad who started his football with Trostre in the Carmarthenshire League. He then had a spell with Aberystwyth Town, but failed to make a League appearance at Park Avenue.

He then moved to Neath Athletic and was instrumental in their promotion from the Welsh League to Top Flight football in 2006/07 season. He made the 'keepers jersey his own last season at Llandarcy Park and played in all 34 League games for the Eagles. He impressed in his matches against the Reds, which attracted the attention of Peter Nicholas.

Morris has been named in the Champions League squad along with Roberts, who appears to be the Number One following Ryan Harrison's surprise exit in the close season.
